Mrs. Amy Renfro, aged 72, of Camden Route 2, and widow of O. R. Renfro, died in a local hospital at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Renfro was a lifelong resident of Ouachita County and was member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is survived by four sons, Conley Renfro of Texarkana, Orlen and James Renfro of Camden, and Bobbt Renfro of New Orleans; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Lockridge of Benton; one brother, Noel Starnes of Farris, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. H. E. Rowe of Texarkana; 25 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. R. F. Hall. Burial will be in the Bethesda cemetery by Proctor Funeral Home. Casket bearers are C. P. Thompson, Virgil Jeffus, Orion Jeffus, Roy Thompson, Frank Nash, and James Douthit. The body was taken to the home of James Renfro on the Mt. Holly Road to remain until funeral time. (Camden News - August 30, 1961)
