Issue dated Jan 21, 1938

Died: Mrs Lula Davis age 67, Sunday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Guy Hargrave. Burial was in Conley Cemetery. Mrs Davis married twice, and is survived by the following children; Harvey Smith of the county, Mrs George Strain, Mrs Smith of California & Ray Davis of Mountain Home.

Issue dated Jan 28, 1938

Died: Mrs Lula Davis born April 22, 1870 at Gainesville, Missouri. She was married to W. M. Smith in 1893. They had four Children. After his death she later married Mr C. E. Davis of Gassville. They had two children, one of these Orville and her husband preceded her in death. She died January 16, 1938 at Mountain Home. Survivors are two sons: Harvey Smith and Ray Davis of Mountain Home; three daughters,: Mrs Pearl Hargrave and Mrs Virgie Strain both of Mountain Home and Mrs Ethel Smith of Yucipia, California; two brothers, Mike and Martin Parks both of Texas; two stepchildren; Jay and Floy (sp) Davis.

Mrs Lula Smith married C. E. Davis on 27 Mar 1907.
Checking the census his name was Clarence Davis.
