Willene Jeffrey, 82, of Desha died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Batesville.
Born Oct. 9, 1918, in Desha, she was the daughter of W.H. and Mattie Moore Simmons. She was a homemaker and a member of Desha United Methodist Church. She was a member of Home Demonstration Club.
Survivors include her husband, Ocial Jeffrey; a daughter, Virginia (Floyd) Croak of Desha; a sister, Thelma Pierce of Desha; two grandchildren, Nancy Croak Comer of Sundown, Texas, and Tammy Croak Wilson of Newport News, Va.; and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and a grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville with the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating and the Rev. Jim Brooks assisting. Burial will be in Alderbrook Cemetery at Desha.
Pallbearers will be Keith Harmon, Lavaughn Coles, Kevin Coles, Brian Jeffery, Jay Slayden and Randy Nash.
Honorary pallbearer will be Joel Massey.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight.
