Mrs. Gertie Baird Atkinson, 79, died in a Bentonville nursing home Friday evening.
She resided at 916 S. B St. in Rogers and was born June 3, 1891, in Wesley, Ark.
She is survived by her husband, Lorin, of the home; three sons, Robert Atkinson of Carthage, Mo., Guy Atkinson of Rogers, and Glen Atkinson of Wichita, Kans.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothea Shreve of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Eva Little of Springdale and Mrs. Joyce Slaughter of Florissant, Mo. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Callison Chapel, with Rev. Jack Garner officiating. Burial will be in the Silent Grove Cemetery under the direction of Callison Funeral Home.

Mrs. Gertie Baird Atkinson, 79, of 916 S. "B" St., Rogers died Friday, June 12, in a Bentonville Nursing Home. Born June 3, 1891 in Wesley, she was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
Survivors are her husband, Lorin E. Atkinson of the home; three sons, Robert A. of Carthage, Mo., Guy E. of Rogers and Glen I. of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothea Shreve of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Howell Little of Springdale and Mrs. S.C. Slaughter of Florissant, Mo.; two brothers, Harold Baird of Fayetteville and Hugh Baird of Monette, Mo,; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were under direction of the Callison Funeral Home.

Lorin E. Atkinson, 86, of Rogers died Sunday at a Springdale nursing home. He was born Aug. 28, 1890, at Crawfordsville, Ind.
He was a produce worker.
He is survived by three sons, Robert Atkinson of Carthage, Mo., Guy Atkinson of Rogers and Glen Atkinson of Wichita, Kan.; three daughters, Dorothea Shreve of Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Howell Little of Springdale, and Mrs. S.C. Slaughter of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Walter Atkinson of Clare, Mich., and Wilbur Atkinson of Detroit, Mich.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with burial to be in the Silent Grove Cemetery.
