CAVE CITY - Lillie Mae Green "Grannie" Milligan, 101, of Cave City, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, in a nursing home in Cave City.
Born Sept. 5, 1899, in Conway, she was the daughter of Jim and Josephina Canada Green. She was a homemaker and member of Milligan Campground Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she attended for many years. She was an avid gardener and loved working in her flowers.
Survivors include three sons, Kimbrew Milligan and Grayden Milligan, both of Cave City, and Kelmer Milligan of Moline, Ill.; four daughters, Maxola Foster of Wichita, Kan., Walase Perkey, Jean Mize and Lanell Crock, all of Cave City; 17 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Milligan; three brothers, Ed Green, Fred Green and Cicil Green; three sisters, Mabel Carpenter, Cora Huskey and Bulah Stout; a grandson, Rickey Allen Crock; and two great-grandsons, Kasey Milligan and Christian Lovendahl.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Milligan Campground with the Rev. Grayden Milligan and Paul Strang officiating. Burial will be at Milligan Campground Cemetery, east of Cave City with arrangements by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers are grandsons, Eddie Foster, Rick Milligan, Joe White, Mike Milligan, Donald Milligan, Keith Mize, Kenny Mize, William Dale Crock and Mike White.
Honorary pallbearers are great-grandsons and Dr. Bob Slaughter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
