Annie Slokenbury, 83, of Elkins died Saturday, Dec. 13, at her home.

She was born March 3, 1903 at Delaney.

A homemaker and a lifetime resident of the area, she was a memner of the Elkins Church of Christ and former member of the Elkins Extension Homemakers Club.

Survivors include three sons, Norman Stokenbury of Baldwin, Charles Stokenbury and William Stokenbury, both of Elkins, three daughters, Grace Lawson of Baldwin, Mary Ann Duckett of Ozark and Sonja Blevins of Elkins, one brother, R.E. "Ed" Buck of Rogers; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were set for 2 p.m. today at the Elkins Church of Christ by Leland L. Couch.

Burial will be in the Stokenbury Cemetery at Elkins by Moore's Chapel of Fayetteville.

Memorials may be made to the Arkansas chapter of the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 125, Little Rock 72203, or the Elkins Church of Christ.

Roe D. Stakenbury, 75, of Elkins, a member of the board of directors of Ozarks Electric Cooperative Corporation, died this morning in a local hospital.

Born March 16, 1898 in Elkins, the son of R. Dolph and Kate Divelbiss Stokenbury, he was a farmer and diaryman, a charter member of the Elkins Lions Club, a member and Elder of the Presbyterian Church.

He served on the Board of Directors of OECC for 33 years and as president from 1959 to 1968. He was also a member of the board of Farm Mutual Fire Insurance Company, member of the board of directors of the Bank of Elkins since 1929, the Washington County Farm Bureau, the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation and the Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. and was past president of the Farm Service Cooperative.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Annie Buck Stokenbury of the home; three sons, Charles of Elkins and Norman and Bill of Baldwin; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Lawson of Baldwin, Mrs. Mary Ann Duckett of Ozark and Mrs. Sonja Blevins of Elkins; one brother, Earl of Fayetteville; one sister, Mrs. Mable White of Goshen; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elkins Community Church with burial in Stokenbury Cemetery under direction of Moore's Chapel.
