WEAVER, R.E. - R.E. Weaver, for 42 years secretary of the Farmers' Mutual Insurance Company of Rogers, died suddenly at his home there Tuesday night of heart disease. He was 64 years of age. Funeral services will be held at the Little Flock Church Friday morning at ten o'clock. Mr. Weaver was the son of a pioneer family who located in the Little Flock community east of Bentonville where he was born and reared. Mr. Weaver was well known in eastern Benton County in connection with his long active duty as secretary of the Farmers' Mutual Insurance Company that has become one of the largest and strongest mutual insurance companies in the state. Besides his widow he is survived by four sons and several brothers and sisters.

R.E. Weaver, 64 years old, one of the founders of the Farmers Mutual Insurance company, died suddenly at his home on North Second street about 10 o'clock Tuesday night following a heart attack. Mr. Weaver had not been feeling well recently but his condition was not considered dangerous and his death was unexpected. Mr. Weaver was made secretary of the insurance company, one of the largest mutual fire insurance companies operating in Arkansas, when it was founded in 1890 and has been re-elected to that position each year. Early this month he again was chosen to direct the business affairs of the company. Mr. Weaver is survived by his widow; four sons, E.A. Weaver, J.V. Weaver and Carmen Weaver, all of Tulsa, Okla. and E.H. Weaver, Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Willie and John Weaver of Rogers and Pierce Weaver, Sacramento, Calif, and three sisters, Mrs. J.P. Coker of Rogers, Mrs. Ed Etris, Canton, Ohio and Mrs. Rhue Cox, Sacramento, Calif. Funeral service will be held at Little Flock at 10 a.m. Friday with the Rev. O.E. Coones officiating. Burial will be in the Little Flock cemetery with J.W. Bryant in charge.
