Her obituary says: Nancy DeShields was born in Marion Co, TN in 1827. Embraced Christianity and joined the Baptist Church with her husband always livinig a devoted Christian. Slept Jan 25, 1897. She leaves eight children, a host of relatives and friends to mourn her absence.
