"On Nov 14, 1917, the death angel visited at the home of Charlie Ballard and claimed for its own his beloved wife. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, one little baby son, a father and mother, 2 sisters and 3 brothers and a host of friends. Weep not, dear ones, for Fannie is resting in the arms of Jesus. She was only 19 years, 8 months and 18 days of age. Funeral services were conducted at the Sharon cem Nov 15, by Bro Steel. We hate to give her up, but God knows best. [poem] In the Judgment morning we will awake leaning on Jesus' breast and then we will know that our race is run and we have joined an angel homes where we will be with our loved ones and our Savior. We can then sing the angels' song, but we can never replace that sweet voice that has been silenced by the sweet call of Jesus; we can never replace the sweet blossom that God has chosen for his own. But, my dear friends, this life is only a few weary years and a few sweet words then we msut awake ont he resurrection morn beyond the starry skies. It has been but a few years since sister Fannie was united iwth the fmaily of God by the redemption of her heart and faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ, and by the emblem of holy baptism. Written by her sister, Lillie Ballard.

"On Nov 14, 1917, the death angel visited the home of Charley Ballard and claimed for its own his darling wife. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband, a sweet little babe, mother and father, 2 sisters, 3 brothers, and a host of friends. To know her was to love her. It was hard for us to give her up, but we must submit to the will of God. He doeth all things well. Everything was done for her that loving hands could do, but the good Lord saw fit to take her away. All we can do is live a true Christian life and when the time comes we will meet our dear Fannie in a land where w will never part again. She was a loving sister and a true Christian and was a member of hte baptist church. Funeral services were held at Sharon, conducted by Brother Steel. She was laid to rest by her sister, who passed into the great beyond some time ago. [poem] Written by her 2 sisters."
