Addie Sue Burch, 82, of Bastrop, LA, died Monday, September 26, 2005, at the Cherry Ridge Guest Care Center in Bastrop. Mrs. Burch was a native of Snyder, a resident of Bastrop, for over 42 years and a former resident of Hamburg. She worked in the cafeteria at International Paper for over 30 years and was a member of the Maplewood Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Allen Lee Burch of Houston, TX; a daughter, Carolyn Calhoun of Crossett; two brothers, Wesley Streeter of Bastrop and Edward Streeter of Crossett; two sisters, Ethel Pruitt of Fountain Hill and Johnnie Morrow of McCrory; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ancy L. Burch, in 1995; a son, Billy Ray Burch, in 2004; and her parents, Bill and Virgie Bates Streeter.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 29, in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home in Hamburg with Revs. Louis Couch and Royce Lord officiating. Burial followed services at the Deal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Pruitt, Curtis Nelms, A. B. Nelms, Jackie Nelms, Stan Keely and Jeff Burch.
