C. C. "Chester" Bowman of Ozark died Saturday at the Ozark Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was a retired farmer and produce dealer. Son of the late J.M. and Evelyn Warren bowman, he was born March 31, 1897 at Fort Douglas. Mr. Bowman was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie on March 16, 1969. Survivors include three sons, Matt Edwards of Meridian, Okla., and H.B. and Claudie, both of Ozark; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Adams of Anderson, Ind., Mrs. Norma Warden of Ozark Mrs. Margaret Herzog of Frankenmuth, Mich., and Lorna Cagle of Sands Springs, Okla.; four brothers, Elmer of Mountain Top, Clarence of Binger, Okla., and Doyle and Floyd, both of Ozark; four sisters, Mrs. Beulah Wilson, Mrs. Belle Holmes and Mrs. Goldie Vaughan, all of Springdale, and Non Earl Bowman of Fort Smith; 39 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday at the Full Gospel Temple by Rev. John Martin. Masonic graveside rites followed at Belt Cemetery.
