Dorothy Loraine Bowman, 59 of Vidor, Texas, died Thursday, August 23, 2012 in Vidor, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Church in Kountze, Texas. She was born June 12, 1953 in Ozark, Arkansas to Floyd and Opal Dickerson Bowman.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, August 27, 2012 at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Pearlie Bowman officiating with burial at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Ozark.
She is survived by two daughters, Shanna Phillips of Paris, Arkansas and Brandy Shepperd of Huntsville, Arkansas; one son, Chuck Munger of Ozark; four brothers, Spider Bowman of Ozark, Harold Bowman of Vidor, Texas, Dennis lee of Orange, Texas and Bobby Bowman of Ozark; three sisters, Velma Bennett of Vidor, Texas, Estell Stacey of Texas and Ruby Casey of Ozark; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Tommy Michaud, Spencer and Shawn Phillips and Lucus Wilkins. Honorary pallbearers are Braydon and Joshua Wayne Wilkins, Devon Munger and Maliki Jackson.
