(from Decatur) On Tuesday of this week at 5 o'clock in the morning, passed from this earth, Nora, daughter of Tom Keith. She was sick but a short time, having attended Children's Day exercises on the second Sunday in June. It is said that "Death loves a shining mark." It is certainly true in this case, as Miss Nora was an exceptionally bright young lady, kind to all, affectionate, thoughtful of others comfort and happiness. She will be missed in the home as upon her devolved the care of the family since her mother's death about one year ago. She will be missed by the Sunday School, in the church, in the community. She was laid to rest in the cemetery at Decatur Tuesday evening as the sun was sinking low in the west, a large concourse of sorrowing friends gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to one who was loved so well. Short service was held at the grave, conducted by Rev. Lindsey.

(from Decatur) Miss Nora Keith, daughter of T. and Bell Keith, was born Jan. 31, 1779, died June 28, 1898. The subject of this sketch had just passed her eighteenth birthday and was the oldest of the four girls. She leaves three sisters, a brother and father, and many friends to mourn her loss. She had been ill for two or three weeks; was taken with typhoid fever and a deadly hemorrhage carried her away in a few hours. She professed faith in Christ some few years ago and has lived a consistent christian since. Her mother died about eight months ago. Nora was talking with a friend a few days after taking her bed; she told her that she would never get up; that she would soon be with her Ma. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family. M.K.E.
