Born May 8, 1889, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Died April 6, 1971, Calico Rock, Izard County, Arkansas.
Son of Dallas & Alabama Cope Beard.
Married Polly C. Coyle, October 28, 1914, Norfork, Baxter County, Arkansas. They were the parents of eight children.

Thomas F. Beard, 82, a retired farmer of the Old Joe community, near Norfork, died Tuesday at a Calico Rock hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Baxter County and a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2PM tomorrow (Friday) at the Norfork Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Galatia Cemetery, under the direction of the McClure-Smith Service. Grandsons will serve as palbearers.
Mr. Beard was born May 8, 1888, in Baxter County, the son of Dow Beard and Alabama Cope Beard. He was married to Polly Coyle on October 5, 1914.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Polly Beard of Old Joe; three sons, Thomas F. Beard, Jr. of Overland Park, KS, and Jim C. and Kenneth L. Beard, both of Kansas City, KS; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Torrance of Norfork, Mrs. Mildred Baker of Old Joe and Mrs. Edria Vest and Mrs. Ruby Hall of Liberty, MO; a brother, Ed Beard of Norfork; 19 grandchildred and 21 great grandchildren.
