Died May 26, 1974, Norfork, Baxter County, Arkansas.
Son of Dallas and Alabama Cope Beard.
Married Janie Lackey, February 6, 1915, Baxter County, Arkansas.

Henry Ed Beard, 81, of Norfork, a lifetime resident of Baxter County, died Sunday at his residence. He was a retired railroader.
Beard was born Feb 16, 1893, at Culp, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Beard. He was a member of the Norfork Methodist Chruch.
Funeral services were held at 4PM Tuesday at the Norfork Methodist Church with Rev. Gerald Martin officiating. Interment was in the Galatia Cemetery, under the direction of Roller Funeral Service.
Pallbearers wer Ed Pinkston, Andy Simpson, Dean Rouse, Jerry Parnell, Sid Skidmore and Gene Alexander.
Survivors include six son, Hubert Beard, Manuard Beard and Jimmy Roy Beard all of Norfork, Harvey Beard of Mt. Home, Clayton Beard of Bolivar, MO and Lonnie Gene Beard of Knasas City, MO; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Torrance of Mt. Home, and Mrs. Edith Wilson of Truman; 32 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
