Bobbie J. Beard, 56
Bobbie J. Beard, age 56 of Salesville passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem, Arkansas. She was born May 11, 1956 in Mountain Home to Jimmy Roy and Anna Lucy Beard.
Bobbie was a math teacher at Norfork Elementary School for 32 years, retiring only when illness forced her to. She was devoted to her calling as a teacher and was very involved with her students over the years.
She is survived by her mother, Anna Gay Beard of Norfork; 1 brother, Jimmy Dean Beard of Norfork; 3 sisters: Marilyn (Jewell) Stinson of Pineville, JoAnn (Butch) Hale of Calico Rock and Donna (Cecil) Chism of Norfork; 2 nephews : Kris (Jessica) Beard and Keith (Taira) Chism;several other nieces and nephews; several great nieces including Paris and Kloie Beard; several great nephews including Trey and Maddex Chism.She was preceded in death by her father and a great nephew.
A gathering of remembrance will be held from 10 until 2 PM Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Norfork High School Gymnasium in Norfork. Interment will follow in Galatia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Norfork Scholarship Fund in Memory of Bobbie Beard.
