WORTHY, Tom - Death has again called in this neighborhood and taken Uncle Tom Worthy in his keeping Saturday morning at 8 o'clock at the age of 78 years and nine months. This is certainly a sad time for the Worthy children as their mother died just two weeks before their father did. He was stricken Tuesday with pneumonia and soon passed away. Uncle Tom, as he was called by everyone, was a grand old man and faithfully kept the Golden Rule and never spoke naught of his fellowmen. He had been a member of the Methodist church for a number of years. After a short funeral sermon by Rev. Brogan he was laid to rest in the Hebron cemetery by the side of his life companion.
