WORTHY, Marvin Leslie - (from Hebron) Death winged its way in our circle and acquired the life of one of our dear little school boys, Marvin Leslie Worthy, the 13-year-old son of Tom Worthy and wife and we all bow in grief for he was such a sweet boy and he looked forward to the last day of school and on Saturday before he died his parents took him to Rogers and bought him his first pair of long pants to wear on that occasion, but God willed it otherwise and he was buried in the lovely suit. He was stricken with pneumonia the following Sunday and grew rapidly worse. Everything was done to save the precious life by doctor, nurse and friends and we hope some day to understand the work of our creator. Just one month before his father was critically ill with pneumonia and his life was despaired of and Marvin so faithfully did the chores and everything he could to help out. The only ones at his home are his mother and father and the father was unable to attend the funeral, having pneumonia again, his little sister, Maxine and brother, Carroll; grandparents, J.D. Brown and wife, and several aunts and uncles. The funeral was conducted at Hebron Tuesday morning at 10:00 o'clock by Rev. Campbell.
