Wife of Lorenzo Dow Hager.
Note: Gravestone which was erected in recent years gives dates of 1868 & 1947; however, her birth date was recorded as March 1869 in the 1900 census. A death date of June 18, 1949, is shown in a brief obituary published in The Baxter Bulletin of June 23, 1949, and the same date is recorded in the Arkansas Death Index.

Condolences are extended to the family and relatives of Mrs. Lou Ellen Hager, who died Saturday June 18, after a long illness. The funeral was held at Galatia Cemetery, with many relatives from out of town attending, including Staff Sgt. Glenn Harvey of Chicago; Virginai Harvey of Kansas City, MO; Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bonds, Mammoth Spring; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hamilton, Newark; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hamilton, Newark; Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Bonds, Mammoth Spring; Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Parnell, Buford; Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Tivitt, Newark. Mrs. Hager died at the age of 80 years and all who knew her mourn her passing.
