Willie Austin Carr, 82, Bentonville, died Sept. 26 in a Bentonville nursing home. Born April 17, 1893, in Benton County, he was the son of William Bradley and Martha Mahala Estris Carr. A lifetime resident of the area, he was a farmer until his retirement in 1943.
Survivors include one step-daughter, Mrs. Maxine Lovelace, Yakima, Wash.; and several nephews and nieces.
Graveside funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery near Hiwasse with the Rev. Larry Lewis officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Bentonville.

Bentonville - Mrs. Willie Inez Carr, 66, died Sunday morning at Bates Memorial Hospital. She was born in Benton County and was a lifelong area resident.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Austin Carr of the home; two nieces, Mrs. Eve McCurdy of Bentonville and Mrs. Marie Todd of Millington, Tenn. and two brothers, Hugh Hornsby of Surprise, Ariz. and Ernest Hornsby of Rialto, Calif.
Funeral will be announced by the Burns Funeral Home.
