HATFIELD, Robert C. - Robert C. Hatfield, 74, for the last six years justice of the peace here, died suddenly at his home early Monday morning during a heart attack following several years of poor health. Judge Hatfield, as he was familiarly known to his friends, was born near Alabam in Madison county, Feb. 10, 1856 but had been a resident of Rogers for the last 27 years. His wife, Mrs. Sarah Hatfield, has been ill for about 2 years and her condition has been critical for the last several weeks. Funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon at Central Methodist church with the pastor, the Rev. Ben C. Few, and the Rev. J.A. Womack, former pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakley's Chapel cemetery with J.W. Bryant in charge of arrangements. Besides his widow Judge Hatfield is survived by 3 sons, Monroe Hatfield, Joplin; Elmer Hatfield, Rogers and Ben Hatfield of Alberta, Canada; 2 daughters, Mrs. Ethel Phillips and Mrs. Beulah York, both of near Kansas City. He also leaves 2 brothers, John and Hugh Hatfield of Alabam and one sister, Mrs. Mary J. Presley of Huntsville.

HATFIELD, Sarah Amanda - Mrs. Sarah A. Hatfield, 72, widow of the late R.C. Hatfield of Rogers, died at her home Friday. She had lived in that vicinity 27 years. Funeral services were held at Oakley Chapel at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, E.B. Hatfield and Mrs. Price, of whom live in Rogers {incomplete, typed as printed}.

Mrs. Sarah Amanda Hatfield, 72, widow of the late Justice of the Peace R.C. Hatfield, died at her home here early Friday after a lingering illness. Funeral services were held at Oakley's Chapel at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Ben C. Few, pastor of Central Methodist church, with J.W. Bryant in charge of funeral arrangements. Mrs. Hatfield, who had lived in or near Rogers for the last 27 years, had been in poor health for several years and her husband preceded her in death by only a few days more than three months. Mr. Hatfield died suddenly on the morning of Dec. 29, 1930. Surviving are three sons, Ben Hatfield of Alberta, Canada; H.M. Hatfield, Joplin, Mo. and E.B. Hatfield of Rogers; and two daughters, Mrs. Albert Phillips and Mrs. Ernest York, both of Kansas City.
