HATFIELD, Dewey - Dewey Hatfield, the seven-year-old son of Robert Hatfield, living a few miles southwest of town, died early last Friday morning. About a month ago he was struck in the back of the head by the horn of a cow, fracturing the skull. An operation was performed and a piece of the skull removed and for a time he seemed to be improving. The injury to the delicate tissue of the brain was greater than thought and inflammation commenced which soon caused death. The family have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
