BLOCHER, John Frederick - Died, John Frederick Blocher, at his home in Bentonville, Ark. Friday night, March 15th, 1895. John Frederick Blocher was born in Mountainburg, Crawford county, Ark., Sept. 19th, 1869. A short time after his birth his parents moved to this county and located three miles southeast of Bentonville where his father died when John was about one year old. The family moved to Bentonville in 1890 and John entered the drug store with his brother-in-law, S.A. Larimore where he remained until a short time before his death. About a year ago he became a member of the M. E. church, South and was an earnest and devoted worker in the church. He was president of the Epworth League until a short time before his death. Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church, South Sunday at 2 p.m., Rev. S.F. Goddard officiating. After the services the remains were followed to the Oakley Chapel cemetery by a large concourse of people where the last sad rites were performed and he was laid away to eternal rest.
