J.H. BLOCHER DIES SUDDENLY FROM HEART ATTACK
J.H. Blocker, aged about 70, a cousin of J.W. Blocher of Bentonville, died suddenly about 11 o’clock, Monday night. May 11th, 1936, at his home near Sulphur Springs, this county. His death followed a heart attack. He apparently had been in his usual good health and had visited here only a few days before his death.
Long time resident of Kansas City, Mr. Blocker had retired from his work there some 20 years ago and 17 or 18 yeas ago he and his wife came to Northwest Arkansas to make the Arkansas Ozark their permanent home. They bought a small farm southwest of Sulphur Springs, where they have since lived.
Beside his wife, Mr. Blocker is survived by three daughters and two sons, one of the latter being a prominent attorney in Kansas City.
The funeral is being held at Gravette at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon with interment in the Gravette cemetery.
J.W. Blocker of Bentonville, who was called to his cousin’s home following the latter’s death, also is attending the funeral this afternoon.
