Doris Jean Coker, 59, of West Fork died Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale.

She was born May 23, 1948, in Bentonville, the daughter of Frank and Ruth Smith Sands. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Howard Sands.

She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Liberty and Eighty-Six Community Church.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kenny Coker; three sons, Chris Coker and wife Diana of West Fork and Ira Coker and Ben Coker, both of West Fork; five grandchildren, Seth Coker, Caitlin Coker, Jackson Coker, Morgan Coker and Harrison Coker; a brother, Wes Sands and wife Shirley of Cave Springs; three sisters, Frankie Burns and husband Jim of Bethel Heights, Marie Chandler of Bentonville and Glenna Warhurst and husband Craig of Broomfield, Colo.; a sister-in-law, Marlene Sands of Cave Springs.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at Zinnamon Church with Elder L.V. Vickery officiating. Burial will be in Zinnamon Cemetery.

There is no scheduled visitation. Arrangements are by Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville, online at www.mooresfuneralchapel.com.

WEST FORK — Kenny Coker, 60, of West Fork, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Washington Regional Medical Center.

He was born February 13, 1949 at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, the son of James Henry Coker, Jr. & Fula Jackson Coker.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jean Coker, May 23, 2007; his father, James Henry Coker, Jr. and two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Boyd and Howard Sands.

He was an employee of the Washington County Sheriff's Department since 1994, serving as court officer. He was a volunteer for the Strickler Fire Department since 1986, serving as captain. He was a member of Liberty of 86 Community Church.

He is survived by three sons, Chris Coker & his wife Diana of West Fork, Ira Coker of Fayetteville, Ben Coker of West Fork; his mother, Eula Coker of West Fork; three brothers, J. R. (Royaldon) Coker of West Fork, Ronnie Coker & his wife Kay of West Fork, Dennis Coker of West Fork; a sister, Beverly Boyd of West Fork; five grandchildren, Seth, Caitlin, Jackson, Morgan & Harrison Coker.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 25 at the West Fork Gym.

Officiating will be Elder L. V. Vickery.

Burial will be in Zinnamon Cemetery, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 pm today at Moore's Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials may he made to Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Rd., Springdale, AR 72762.
