There are many stones around this inscripted stone. The old stones are unmarked.
"These are the graves of Malachi Simpson, his second wife, Delilah, whom he married in 1839, his oldest son, Abijah and his wife, Mary.
Malachi came in 1833 and settled about one half mile of here. His first wife Alse, the mother of all his children died in Tennessee".
