Abijah Simpson
1806-1853
Farmer Arkansas State Senator
Abijah was born to Malachi and his first wife Alse Simpson. Alse died and was buried in Tennesse. Abijah and his wife Mary, his father Malachi and other members of the family, came from Tennesse in 1833 and settled about one half mile west of the Spotts cemetery, where they are all buried. Malachi remarried to Delilah Jackson in 1839, in Arkansas.They had no children.
Abijah farmed in Lawrence County.
