On Sunday evening, June 24 at the Townsend home east of Rogers, when Henry Lee Woodcock passed from times shore to the Great Beyond, we lost from our midst one of our moral, upright boys. Lee was born at Huntsville but was reared in Benton county where he was a friend of all. He married Lillie Townsend October 30, 1925. To this union a small son remains with its young widowed mother to mourn his departure. Lee also leaves a father, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. All except two young brothers were able to attend the funeral. His long continued failing health gave him much time for Bible reading and meditation and he assured his friends that his approaching death held no fears or horrors for him. He was laid to rest beside his mother at Walnut Hill. A brief funeral service was conducted by George Williams who had been his close friend for eleven years. The gathering of friends and the floral offerings were large indeed.
