WOODCOCK, Charity - (from Walnut Hill) Last Wednesday, Feb. 7th, at the hour of four in the morning, we were again visited by the grim monster, death. This time it was the wife of L.M. Woodcock. She had been sick long with consumption. Charity Woodcock was born Jan. 15, 1877; was a member of the Presbyterian church; was the mother of nine children; one dead, the rest living, the oldest being 22 years old, the youngest two years. To say that she was a good mother is not enough; she was a mother in every sense of the word and a true Christian, a faithful wife, and will be missed everywhere. They have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. She was laid to rest in the Walnut Hill cemetery February 8th.
