Thomas (Tommy) Henry Bridenthal, 41, of Farmington died yesterday in a local hospital. Born June 29, 1924 at Springdale, the son of Lee and Maud Bridenthal, he was a member of First Assembly of God Church, a graduate of the University High School and sales manager for the Cy Carney Appliance Co. A veteran the U.S. Army in World War II he was the recipient of the bronze star for action in the Battle of North Ardennes-Rhinelan of Central Europe. He was a member of the American Legion and was united in marriage to the former Dorothea Garriott Aug, 5, 1445 in Fayetteville.
In addition to the widow he is survived by two daughters, Connie and Deborah, all of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Novak of New York City, N.Y., Mrs. Lena Allen of Modesto, Calif. and Mrs. Mattie Lee Phillips of Springdale and his mother, Mrs. Maud Bridenthal, also of Springdale.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville with burial in Farmington Cemetery under direction of Nelson's Funeral Home.

FARMINGTON — Dorotha Garriott Bridenthal Neal, 81, died May 5, 2009, at St. Edward’s Mercy Medical Center in Fort Smith. She was born Sept. 27, 1927, in Fayetteville to Earl and Myrtle Bogan Garriott. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas H. Bridenthal.
Survivors include two daughters; five grandchildren. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Fayetteville.
She officially retired from the University of Arkansas Counseling and Psychological Services in November 2005. She served the UA Health Services for 36 years and loved her job as office manager.
Services were held May 8 at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial was in Farmington Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Ave., Little Rock, 72207 or the American Heart Association, Memorial & Tribute Processing Center, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, Kan., 66601-1653.
