Mrs. Dora Heckford Willis, 80, of Calion died at her home Monday at 10:30 p.m. after a long illness. Mrs. Willis was born in Jersey May 3, 1880, the daughter of John and Mary Walker Heckford. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church of Calion. She is survived by two sons, W. N. Harris of Kilgore, Tex. and J. A. Harris of Calion; three daughters, Mrs. O. D. Adams of West Monroe, La., Mrs. Virgie Copeland of Eros, La. and Mrs. Alfred Parker of Calion; a sister, Mrs. Annie Simmons of Downsville, La., 23 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Funeral services have been announced for Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church in Calion with the Rev. Tracy Ables officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. R. McCollum. Burial will be in Champagnolle Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be George Blackman, Jack Tippy, Gene Epps, Reggie Stevenson, Douglas Parker and J. G. Hayes. The boy will be taken to the home of Mrs. Parker at 6 p.m. (The El Dorado Times - December 8, 1964)
