Ruth Camille Stege, age 89, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, went home to be with her Lord at the Good Samaritan Nursing Center, Hot Springs Village, on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She was born December 7, 1925, in Granite City, Illinois, to the late D.O. and Ruth Maxwell Pierce. She was a graduate of Southwest High School in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Earl F. Stege April 27, 1946, in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2009. Camille was a homemaker and was employed for several years in the credit department of Sears Roebuck in San Antonio, TX. At the time of her passing, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Warren. She had also been an active member of churches in St. Louis, San Antonio, Falls Church, VA, Indianapolis, IN, and Lubbock, TX, teaching Sunday School for over 60 years, singing in choirs, and actively participating in and leading the Woman's Missionary Union. In addition, Camille served as a staff member of several churches. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Stanley, and husband, Greg, of Hot Springs Village, AR; a son, Stephen Stege, and wife, Rhonda, of Dallas, TX; five grandchildren, Sarah Stanley Henry (Patrick) of Little Rock; Christopher Stege (Kelly) of Cedar Park, TX; David Stanley of Arkadelphia, AR; Ryan Stege (Brooke) of Prosper, TX; and Jonathan Stege of Austin, TX; four great-grandchildren, John Maxwell and Molly Mathis Henry of Little Rock; Kathryn Camille Stege of Prosper, and Stella Noel Stege of Cedar Park, TX; and one sister, Virginia Lawrence of Richmond Hill, GA. Graveside service was 2:00 p.m. Thursday May 7, at Oakland Cemetery with Rev. Greg Stanley officiating. Arrangements were by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were John McClellan, Christopher Stege, Ryan Stege, Jonathan Stege, David Stanley and Patrick Henry. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Coronado Baptist Church, 91 Coronado Dr., Hot Springs Village, AR 71909 or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
