Mamie Ilene Harton, age 78, of Warren, Arkansas died Wednesday, December 15, at Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock. She was born November 6th, 1932 in Possum Valley Arkansas (Drew County) a daughter of the late Ollie Brown and Lura Estelle White Brown. She worked 25 years for Jack Winter Company, was a founding member of the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church, she was a devoted homemaker, loving her family greatly and found great blessing in doing for others while all the time serving the Lord. Also preceding her in death is her daughter, Susan Estelle Harton Thomason, 3 brothers, James Ollie Brown, Ricky Don Brown and Roy Dewayne Brown.
Survivors are her husband of 59 years, Curtis "Coon" Harton whom she married June 23, 1951 in New Edinburg, AR. 2 sons, Mike Harton and spouse Kim of Warren, AR.; and Ronny Harton of Warren, AR. One brother, Van Brown and spouse Karen, Possum Valley, AR. 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A God -child Tina Dorrough Reep, Warren AR. and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service was 10:00am Friday, December 17, at Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Brian Ashcraft officiating. Music provided by Tracy Nichols and Monica Harton Nichols. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home of Warren. Active pallbearers were Doug Harton, Bob Brown, Terry Harton, Mark Burt, Dewayne Harton, Farron Mercer, Josh Belvediesi, and David Young. Honorary pallbearers were Renious Harton, James Harton, William Ray Collier, Frank Burt, Jimmy Harton, Billy "P" Smith, and Jackie Harton. Memorials preferred The Arkansas Children's Hospital or the Gideon's.
