Patsy Ann Hughes, 78, of El Dorado, Arkansas has passed away peacefully Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House.
Patsy was born on July 9, 1942 in Homer Louisiana to the late T T Howard and Geneva Halbrook Howard. Patsy retired after 25 years of service to Wal-Mart; she also had retired from the El Dorado School District. She enjoyed working puzzles, coloring pictures, doing word searches and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Patsy was a loving mother, grandmother, a great grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband Robert M. Hughes Sr. of 54 years. Her parents were; TT and Geneva Howard, and grandson Justin Allen Hughes.
Survivors include her three sons, Robert M. Hughes Jr. and wife Libby of El Dorado, Michael A. Hughes of El Dorado, and Kenneth W. Hughes Sr. and his wife Sylvia of Old Union. Patsy was a grandmother to ten grandchildren; Becky Biggers and her husband Chris of El Dorado, Kevin Hughes and his wife, Courtney of El Dorado, April Hughes of El Dorado, Brandon Hughes of Suwanee GA., Morgan Hughes of Prairieville LA., Kenneth Wayne Hughes Jr. and his wife Autumn of Old Union, Brianna Covington and her husband Sean of Camden, Miranda Hughes of Spokane WA., Destiny Hughes of Tull AR., AnnMarie Nobles, and her husband Dalton of El Dorado. She also had a four-legged fur baby (Polo) and numerous great grandchildren, and four brothers. Earl Howard and his wife Cletus of El Dorado, Donald Howard of Old Union, J.T. Howard and his wife Anita of Texas, and Jimmy L. Howard and wife Lucy of Puerto Rico, and one sister Kathlene Kryser of Maryland; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at the New Beginnings Baptist Church 7290 Junction City Hwy. El Dorado, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the New Beginnings Baptist Church with Rev. Doyce Whitten and Bro. Robert Hughes, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Jolley Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
Pallbearers are Justin Squyers, Gary Shackleford, Chris Biggers, Ricky Kimble, Jerry Brumley, and Dalton Nobles.
