Virginia "Ginnie" Sawyer Hall, 88, of Little Rock, widow of Wes Hall, founder of Minute Man of America, passed away March 6, 2013. She was born in Anniston, Alabama to Albert B. and Eva Martin Sawyer and was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church. A very imaginative lady, she created clothing, costumes, flower arrangements and jewelry. She was an avid Bridge player and crossword puzzle solver. She loved her little dog, Cozy. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three sisters, she is survived by her daughters, Linda L. Hall of Maumelle, Deborah H.Tate and Keena H. Ridings (Roy), both of Little Rock; sister, Dorothy Higgins of North Carolina; grandchildren, Ben Ridings (Allison) and Adam Tate, both of Little Rock; and four great-grandchildren, Madeline Tate, Roy Benjamin Ridings IV, Lainey Ridings and Charlie Ridings.
Visitation will be Monday, March 11 at 10:00 a.m., with the service following at 11:00 a.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.). Dr. James Lagrone will officiate. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210. Arrangements by Little Rock Funeral Home, (501)224-2200. *When Wesley Torrence Hall was born on April 22, 1915, his father, James, was 25 and his mother, Ruth, was 23. He married Mary Louise Earp and they had one daughter together. He then married Virginia Evelyn Sawyer and they had two children together. He died on May 8, 2002, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 87, and was buried in Alexander, Arkansas.
His wife Mary Louise passed away on November 5, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 28. They had been married 4 years.
