William Paul Allen Jr., 83, of Paron, Arkansas died December 26, 2018. He was born December 17, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late William and Martha Allen.

Bill graduated from Little Rock High School (now Little Rock Central High School). He also studied at the University of Arkansas but did not finish due to health problems.

Bill's maternal grandfather, Dr. Otto Whitington, Sr., was the minister at Immanuel Baptist Church for many years, until his death in the early 1950s. Bill admired him, and although Bill didn't attend church regularly, he kept his Christian faith throughout his life.

Bill loved motorcycles and cars. At about age 14, he got a Triumph, his first motorcycle. Through the years he had others, including his two favorites, an Indian 80 and his last bike, a Royal Enfield. As a teenager, he had a "hot rod" car that he worked on a lot, then he bought a 1957 Ford convertible of which he was very proud.

In the mid-1960s, he traveled to what is now South Africa and stayed for several weeks. Before that, his travels were mostly family trips and motorcycle trips to various parts of the country with friends and relatives.

Bill never married and the last fifty years of his life were spent on the Allen family property in Paron, Arkansas. Much of his time there was spent hunting and fishing or just walking through the woods with a dog at his side. He had many friends in the area that helped him later in life. The family will be forever grateful for the assistance they gave him when he could no longer drive or do some of the chores around his home.
