Vera Dixon, 95, of Fort Smith, entered into rest, Friday, February 15, 2008 in Fort Smith. She was born August 11, 1912,in Hugo, Oklahoma the daughter of the late, Bert and Annie Songer. Vera was a homemaker, a member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of the late Ted Dixon. Survivors include daughter and son in law; Charlotte and Terry Roberson of Springdale; sons, Jerry and wife JoAnn Dixon and Dave Dixon all of Fort Smith; sister, Lucille Caldwell of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Jason, Heather Ann, Steven Duwayne, Gregory Paul, Derek and Jill; eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2008 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church with interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park officiated by Reverend Sid Ree.
