Rev. Lola Davis, 98, of Fort Smith, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 15, 2011.
She was born in Winnepeg, Canada on November 16, 1912 to George and Bertie Mae Bowen.
She was an Ordained Minister with the Assembly of God. She was the widow of Rev. Earl Davis. Together they pastored several churches in Southern California and spent twelve years on the Evangelist field. They moved to Fort Smith in 1970 and retired to be near their family.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2011, at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Roger Mattox and Rev. C. E. Simpson officiating.
Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Rose of Fort Smith, granddaughter Terria McCoy and her husband Mark S. McCoy of Fort Smith, great granddaughter Sara McCoy of Alma, AR and two great great grandsons Brenden and Connor McCoy.
