Dolores Cox Curtis, 86, of Fort Smith passed away Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Paris, Texas, to Johnny and Inez (Young) Cox.
She was the retired business owner of both Hill’s Marine Sales and Curtis Travel Land. She was a founding member of Central Christian Church and was the widow of Ural Curtis. Dolores was a true fighter, having survived cancer for 29 years.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with entombment to follow under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Becker and her husband Terry of Barling and Sandra Kaundart and her husband Wes of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Curtis, Matthew and Mitchell Kaundart, Jeff Kear and Amy Carter; and four great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Tiffany, Taylor and Tanner.
