Shirley Faye Cox, 77, of Arkoma, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016 in a local hospital.
She was born on January 4, 1939 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Henry and Virginia May (Martin) Darden.
She was a retired 27 year employee of Rheem Manufacturing and the owner of B&M Rental Properties. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkoma.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ray Cox, one son, Michael Cox, her parents, and a brother Donald Ray Darden.
Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Arkoma with burial to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie Lea Rainwater of Charleston, Arkansas; two sisters, Sandra Overstreet of Arkoma, OK and Donna Wheeler of Arkoma, OK; six grandchildren, Tiffany Pullen, Jamie Cox, Latisha Harris, Cherish Betts, Bryson Cox and Callie Rainwater; five great grandchildren and her special “Furr Baby” Max.
Pallbearers are Charlie Harvey, Jamie and Bryson Cox, Jonathan and Anthony Overstreet, Keith and Kevin Wheeler.
