November 26, 1948 - April 29, 2024
Gary Lee Bilbrey, 75, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life on Monday, April 29, 2024, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born November 26, 1948, in Walnut Ridge to the late Lester Bilbrey and Dottie Runsick Bilbrey. He was united in marriage to Rita Howard on March 10, 1972, in Walnut Ridge. He was a tool and die maker at Skil and a machinist at Unilever during his lifetime. Gary was a member of the United Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. He enjoyed helping people.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Bilbrey Matthews; brother-in-law, David Doyle; and nephew, David Wayne Doyle.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Bilbrey of the home; children, Dustin Bilbrey (Scarlett) of Hanceville, Alabama and Windy Shoe (Benji) of Pocahontas; siblings, L. Dee “Sonny” Bilbrey (Kathy) of Walnut Ridge, Kathyrn Doyle and Rosie Bilbrey both of Jonesboro, and Barbara Gaither of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Roxy Shoe, Maggie Shoe, Aurora Bilbrey, Dottie Bilbrey, and Levi Bilbrey; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the United Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge with funeral services immediately following at 12 p.m. Glenn Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge. All arrangements are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are David Ditto, Brad Williams, Daniel Matthews, Dominique Johnson, Gary Lawhon, Marvin Cook, and Paul Stallings.
