*When James Franklin "Jim" Dyer was born on November 3, 1875, in Saline, Arkansas, his father, John, was 26 and his mother, Sarah, was 20. He married Mary A Dyer and they had one daughter together. He then married Amanda Caroline "Mandy" Chastain and they had six children together. He died on April 14, 1942, in Paron, Arkansas, at the age of 66, and was buried there.
*Amanda Caroline "Mandy" Chastain was born on January 6, 1878, in Holland, Arkansas. She married James Franklin "Jim" Dyer on September 13, 1903, in Little Rock, Arkansas. They had six children in 11 years. She died on September 17, 1953, in Paron, Arkansas, at the age of 75, and was buried there.
