Loella Francis Major Brown, age 81, of Benton, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. She was born June 20, 1931 in Paron, Arkansas. Mrs. Brown and her husband John owned Brown’s Corner in Paron and was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Luda Major; her husband, John Edward Brown; son, John R. (Johnny) Brown; two brothers, Don D. Major and Edison Major and three sisters, Nancy L. Rowe, Glenda L. Haywood and Willie Threet.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Brown and wife Donna of Benton; five grandchildren, Tai Morehead (Clayton), Colby Brown (Megan), Raelynn Brown, Jason Brown and Clint Brown (Kim); four great-grandchildren and a special friend, Tonya Brown.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 14 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Walnut Bottom Cemetery in Paron. Bro. Scotty Nalley will be officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Alcoa Pines Health and Rehab.
