Age 80, of Paron AR, died Tuesday; born in Walnut Bottoms to the late Dayton and Nora Rickard; homemaker; gospel song writer who played piano, organ, guitar, banjo, and mandolin.

Preceded in death by parents, husband Elmer, brothers Dewell, Cleo, nad Ellis Rickard.

Survivors include sons James (Mary), John Paul (Brenda), Leon (Ginny), Jessie (Julie) Blaylock, daughters Eva (Carl) Campbell and Beverly Spell, brothers Leo and Danny Rickard, sisters Verna Lee Hester and Vida Green, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and extended family members.

James Elmer Blaylock of Paron died Friday. He was 71.

He was a retired timber worker in Havana and a member of the Buffalo Pentecostal Church.

Survivors are his wife, Pansy Blaylock; four sons, James Blaylock, John Blaylock and Leon Blaylock of Paron and Jessie Blaylock of Benton; two daughters, Eva Campbell of Perryville and Beverly Hunt of Paron; two brothers, Everette Blaylock of Benton and Jay Blaylock of Booneville; two sisters, Willie Weaver and Charlene Webb of Pine Bluff; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral was to be at 2 p.m. today at the Buffalo Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Andy Justice officiating. Burial followed at Walnut Bottom Cemetery in Paron by Ashby Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were to be Dickey Hicks, Harold Blaylock, Gary Don Hill, Albert Ray Weaver, Kenneth Moore and Charles Blaylock. Honorary pallbearers were to be James Waddle, Jim Hunt and Gerald Williams.
