James Edvard Blaylock, age 64, of Paron, died at his home November 17, 2009. He was born July 6, 1945 to the late Elmer and Pansy Blaylock of Paron. A graduate of Paron High School, he had served 6 years in the Army National Guard; a former Grocery Owner; Pipeline Construction Truck Driver; Mom's Keeper; the Best Dad and Papaw; the Grandkids Biggest Sports Fan, he followed us to every basketball court, softball, baseball, football and soccer field around and lover of all animals especially horses and dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Blaylock; daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Jeff Ramsey; son and daughter-in-law, Brandon and Connie Blaylock; three grandchildren, Morgan and J. Alan Ramsey and Jayden Blaylock all of Haskell; two sisters, Eva Lynn Campbell and husband Carl of Perryville and Beverly Spell of Paron; three brothers, John Paul Blaylock, Leon Blaylock and wife Ginny all of Paron and Jessie Blaylock and wife Julie of Benton; daughter-by-love, Jamie and husband Scott Hillis of Hector; grandchildren-by-love, Haley and Britney Hillis of Hector and Tim, Ashley and Sarah Tate of Haskell; a host of extended family and friends and we can't forget Jim (his 5 year old puppy!).

Pallbearers will be his nephews, Jason and Jaime Campbell, Clay Johnson, Stetson and Keeton Blaylock, family friends Greg Covey and Dustin Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, John Rickard, Matt Blaylock and Brad Hunt.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home.

The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Walnut Bottom Cemetery in Paron.
