*When James Pinkney Scott was born on December 17, 1877, in Pangburn, Arkansas, his father, John, was 38 and his mother, Sarilda, was 29. He married Mattie Lantrip and they had two children together. He then married Nettie Webb and they had two children together. He died on November 1, 1951, in his hometown at the age of 73, and was buried there.
Mattie Lantrip was born on September 22, 1882, in Mississippi. She married James Pinkney Scott on March 10, 1901, in White, Arkansas. They had two children during their marriage. She died as a young mother on September 6, 1906, at the age of 23, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
