*When James Henry Newton was born on January 28, 1888, in Lawrence, Tennessee, his father, Dr., was 43 and his mother, Sarah, was 38. He married Bessie Elizabeth Thrasher Newton on April 20, 1924. They had one child during their marriage. He died on October 11, 1948, in Heber Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 60, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
Bessie Elizabeth Thrasher Newton was born on November 22, 1899, in Arkansas. She married James Henry Newton on April 20, 1924. They had one child during their marriage. She died on March 12, 1989, at the age of 89, and was buried in Pangburn, Arkansas.
