*When Amanda Jane Newton was born on January 17, 1861, her father, Ebenezer, was 28, and her mother, Nancy, was 18. She married Sylvester "Vest" Forrest Wilson in Randolph, Arkansas. They had eight children in 17 years. She died on August 2, 1913, in Fairview, Oklahoma, at the age of 52.
