Henry Floyd Smith transcended to the Heavens on Friday, May 4, 2018. He was born December 5, 1946 to Doris Keaton Smith and Henry Smith.
Floyd confessed his life to Christ at an early age and served as ProTempore at Campbell Chapel AME in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Floyd spent most of his life working on cars as an auto repair shop owner. He was an employee at Reeder-Simco where he worked as an on-call mechanic. He worked for Razorback Cab Company where he held many positions, Airport limo driver, lot attendant, mechanic, plumber, electrician, medical transportation driver and the list goes on.
Floyd is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Keaton Smith Brown; father, Henry Smith; three sisters, Lillie Bell Smith, Lanie Ruth Smith, Leola Eckles; brother, Charles Tilley; grandson, Joe Willis Orr, Jr.; and five great-grandsons.
Survivors: two daughters, Joy Jeffers of Conway, Arkansas, Latasha Simpson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sons, Frederick Smith, Jr. of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Staff Sgt. Tedrick Lyons of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; ten grandchildren, Brittney Howard, Brandi Hicks, TiShara Graham, Leyona Grayson, El"tre Veon Jeffers, Staff Sgt. Eddie Bagby, Elijah Dalton, Julien Bailey, Zay-Leigh Rae Smith, and Tariq Lyons; eight great-grandchildren; Jonte Greelaw, D'Tristian Smith, Aubrianna Hicks, Jeremiah Stickland, Johnsthans Hicks, Kynli Bagby, Raylen Bagby, Cason Beau Bagby; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 26, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at Church of the World, 440 Windsor dr., Fort Smith, Arkansas.
