Estel Dawson, 84, of Bentonville, died Dec. 25, 1995, at Bentonville Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 20, 1911, in Garfield to Virgil and Cora Stephenson Hurd. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Bentonville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleve Paul Dawson, Oct. 17, 1993.
Survivors include three sons, Jarvis Dawson of Norman, Okla., Bill Dawson of Cody, Wyo., and Virgil Dawson of Bentonville; one daughter, Arleen Jackson of Bentonville; one brother, Lilburn Hurd of Independence, Mo.; one sister Barbara Remund of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Graveside service was Thursday, Dec. 28, in Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers, the Rev. Ernie Watson officiating.
